STEP ONE: Place the peanut butter and softened butter in a large bowl. Using a stand mixer or a hand mixer, beat on medium speed until smooth. Add the vanilla and continue to mix, before lowering the speed to add the powdered sugar. Once it is well combined, add the graham cracker crumbs.

STEP TWO: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and begin to create your easy peanut butter balls. Spoon out portions (about 1 tablespoon each) of the batter and roll them into balls on the baking sheet. Place them in the freezer to set for 20 minutes.

STEP THREE: Once your peanut butter balls have chilled, it’s time to make the chocolate coating! Add your chocolate chips and bark to a medium-sized heat-safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Stir so that it’s smooth and well combined.

STEP FOUR: Dip the peanut butter balls into the melted chocolate one at a time before placing them back on the baking sheet. Add a garnish of your choice (I love crumbled graham cracker or a bit of sea salt) and place the balls back in the fridge to set for 10 minutes before enjoying.

If you find that your peanut butter balls with graham crackers are too soft to roll into balls, or if they fall apart in your hands, your butter was probably too soft when you started. You want it to be just soft enough, but not melted, as this can really affect the consistency!

Yes, you can! In fact, my peanut butter balls recipe wouldn’t be the same without the addition of graham crackers. It adds an extra crunch and texture that really makes me think of Reese’s candy! You can also feel free to get a little creative with your recipes. I love the idea of adding in some chocolate chips!

You should always opt to use creamy peanut butter for my chocolate peanut butter balls. It serves as the base of this recipe and helps hold everything together.

Vegan No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls With Rice Krispies (peanut Butter Bon Bons)

I love all-natural peanut butter as much as the next person, but the extra oil can prevent the treats from holding their shape. For this dessert, you need to use classic creamy varieties.

My easy peanut butter balls will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. Make sure that you store them in an airtight container for best results.

You can also freeze them if you feel up to making a double batch to save a bit for later. Make sure that they’ve cooled completely, and then place them inside a freezer-safe container or bag. Thaw overnight in the fridge or at room temperature before indulging!

Buckeyes are one of my family’s favorite christmas candies. There’s just something about peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate that makes them irresistible.

Dip them in milk chocolate for the most Reese-like experience. A coating of dark chocolate is my personal favorite though and I recommend making them both ways.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Balls

Peanut Butter: I love smooth peanut butter for this recipe, though if you prefer a crunch, you can choose crunchy peanut butter as well.

Unsalted Butter: Your butter should be softened, but not melted. Take it out of the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before you start cooking, so it adjusts to the room temperature. This will make it easier to work with while preparing your peanut butter balls.

Powdered Sugar: Powdered sugar will add that extra sweetness to take your peanut butter balls with graham crackers from good to great.

Graham Crackers: These are the icing on the cake for this recipe. Crush them well, so they mix well with the rest of the recipe.

Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips: You want to select quality chocolate chips because they will coat your peanut butter, so they have to be delicious.

Vegetable Shortening: Shortening is needed to thin out the melted chocolate chips and create a delicious coating for your peanut butter balls. I’ve also read that coconut oil makes a good substitute.

Now comes the fun part. You want to dip your peanut butter and graham cracker balls into the chocolate and place them on a cookie sheet until it firms up. My post for buckeyes has some great tips for dipping in chocolate.

You have two options when melting your chocolate – you can put it in the microwave for 30 seconds increments until it’s reached the desired consistency, or use a double boiler.

Your chocolate might thicken up as you’re dipping your peanut butter balls. If that happens, melt the chocolate again until you get the right consistency and continue.

When your peanut butter balls with graham crackers are done, feel free to decorate them to your liking. Add sea salt, sprinkles, extra chocolate, nuts, or whatever you think will mix well with this delicious dessert. We sprinkled this batch with a dusting of graham cracker crumbs.
